 A note from your teacher! 

It is my great joy to offer you a class that is not only fun and engaging, but is also meaningful and helps to preserve and protect our oceans and earth. I look forward to collaborating with you in our shared creative space!

Once you are registered, have chosen your class date, and have paid, I will email you our Zoom link that will grant you access to our class.

Class Description:
​Kaleidoscope from the Sea: the title of our class was inspired by all of the many pieces of plastic floating in the ocean, and that when collected and standing back to observe they appear as if we were looking through a kaleidoscope, vibrant, textured, and unique, just like us. Together we will create mosaics and mandalas with pre-collected and reclaimed plastic marine debris. We will each have 70 small pieces of plastic marine debris to create with. Regardless of zoom class size, you will be a part of over 50 other students taking our class, meaning that through all of our work combined we will be salvaging approximately 5,000 pieces of plastic marine debris that will never to return to the ocean, thanks to your collaborative participation in our creative conservation class. In honor of all of your hard work you and your cohort will be featured in a digital showcase where we will share our individual and collective mosaics and mandalas, the power of community collaboration, and ecological restoration and marine conservation through the artistic process. I am very excited to curate our art show!

To Register for Kaleidoscope from the Sea you will need to email me and include the following information:
  • Your selected class date. Please schedule a week or more in advance if possible ( see calendar below), if you do not see a date that works for you, please connect with me and we can schedule for a time that does.

  • Your address for delivery of ecological art kit. 

  • Your preference of participation, such as, will you be zooming individually? Or will you be zooming in as a group of six? Group classes recommended, but not mandatory.

  • Include any special notes and requests along with your email to me.
