Did you know?

I make basket sculptures out of
Ghost Net
& Marine Rope

As Ghost Net and Marine Rope have spent much of their life in the ocean they have a will of their own, this material moves the way that it wants to, and I am merely a conduit in it's transformative process of becoming something new. I use hand knotting and weaving to form the net and rope into basket sculptures which serve as multipurpose functioning tools for education and awareness.

Partnerships with Surfrider Kauai, Oregon Parks and Recreation, OSU Research, and Westport Marina provide me with the necessary materials which you see in the photos below.

I'm a Certified
Open Water Diver

Since I can remember I've wanted to dive. My Dad was a diver, along with a few of my Uncles. Hearing stories of mysterious underwater worlds while growing up forever fascinated me.

Its no wonder I partnered with a diver.  Christopher, a Professional Diver having done thousands of dives locally and around the world, inspires me constantly with stories of his experience.  My desire to see the underwater world with my own eyes has been increasing, and after four explore scuba dives, I began the five week course to become a certified diver myself and on August 25th, 2019 I received my certification in Hood Canal, Wa.

I am thrilled to continue discovering the vast mysteries of the sea with Christopher and learn how this will influence my work as an ecological artist.

I write for
Gabriel Report

There is a feeling you get when you are a part of a community. It's as though you've just walked through door of a potluck you were invited to via a friend of a friend, and you leave feeling full of delicious food, full of heart, and full of joy for the community you are now apart of.

Gabriel Report represents that for me. It is a gift of soul food from loving voices around the country and growing expansively as love grows in the hearts of those who read it, and then share it with their own communities.
I am so pleased to join the Gabriel Report and know together we will effectively widen our circles through love and mindfulness.

Healing Land & Waterway Project

Since moving to our property in December of 2016 Christopher and I have been ridding our land and waterway of garbage.

The property had been used for years as a dumping grounds and upon realizing this after snow melt and leaf decay the trash started showing itself.

We have committed to our project a hundred times over strengthening our bond with our land, and with each other. We are excited to share our progress with you. . . stay tuned.
